I handle normally one workshop every week and this time it’s in Melbourne; we went to Black Rock Beach and try to capture the sunset.

I carried 2 bodies, and two lenses, set of filters, remote and 15” laptop, all sits perfectly in this bag. The best thing about this bag is it has shoulder strap, sternum strap and hip strap and divide the weight perfectly so you won’t have a sore back!

Few times working with this bag and I can say apart from its beautiful design, the functionality also well built, this bag can be matched with roller 50 and 70 too. It can accommodate 2 tripods as well, one the traveler one and the other one is the bigger one. Quite handy if you are working with two cameras at the same time.

Black Rock Beach is Beach with rock formation so we need to be very careful, use non-slip boots and also bring wipes for the sea spray. For shooting tips always use filters for maximum result and creating beautiful long exposure effect. I metered my exposure correctly and calculate how shallow or deep the depth of field and always try to compose from different angle.

Places to go in Melbourne

I am a professional photographer working mainly with tourism bodies, handling workshops and traveling. I love everything about photography, I do portraits, weddings, fashions, commercials but landscape photography is my passion.

Just recently I had a task to cover view places of attractions in Melbourne. I went to the tallest building in Melbourne, Eureka Skydeck 88, went to Melbourne Observation Wheel, Melbourne Aquarium, Melbourne Zoo, Kayaking on Yarra River or even juts capture the vibe of Melbourne city to complete my stories.

I can’t carry a bag which is too heavy, I also bring my laptop too, after certain period I feel sore on my back and also there is no bag can store so many gears, I brought 2 camera bodies with me, 7 lenses and one of them is 70-200mm f/2.8, camera accessories like filters, shutter release, spare batteries, memory cards and also tripod.

So this bag is the solution, I can carry everything with this bag and also my tripod and drag it everywhere I go! It has rollers! Even when I go with plane I think this is would be really handy because it will fit most wide body airplanes hand carry but you still need to check the minimum weight.

I carried my laptop and also my manfrotto 055CX Pro 4 Tripod without any problem, so great and handy. As you can see on my photo there are few locations to photograph but it’s all about the places to see and visit if you are in Melbourne.

The Eureka Skydeck you need to use special tools to cut reflections from behind the glass, it’s not easy and that’s why you need what we call “lens skirt” basically like a wider lens hood but it covers all body, it’s very handy especially if you photograph aquarium and behind the glass.

For my landscape photography shots I always use filters to manage the light and create long exposure effect unless night-time photography. I metered my exposure correctly and calculate how shallow or deep the depth of field and always try to compose from different angle.

White Night Melbourne

I am a professional photographer working mainly with tourism bodies, handling workshops and traveling. I love everything about photography, I do portraits, weddings, fashions, commercials but landscape photography is my passion.
I need a bag who can accommodates me well, I usually bring two camera bodies and several lenses, tripod, filters and other accessories eg; spare batteries, remote shutter release, laptop etc.
This bag give me easy access to grab my camera bodies from the side, I can put my small mirrorless camera on the left and also the full frame at the other side. The best part I can grab them without I put the camera because sometimes if I am shooting seascape I don’t want my camera bag get wet.

I am helping Tourism Victoria for covering White Night in Melbourne, Australia an event in the summer time, when our city for 12 hours from 7pm to 7am the next day turned to a light show, musical stages, performance acts and other great performances.
Approximately there were about 800 thousands people all together in city centre that night and obviously pretty risky to put your backpack and shoot, with this bag I don’t even need to put my backpack down in the middle of the crowd, I also can carry my 15” laptop and Manfrotto 055CX Pro 4 without any problem with this bag.

All I can say this bag is perfect for commute can carry 70-200 lens off or on camera without any issue, have a rain/heat cover and also tripod bags. Very handy for my job!
For my landscape photography shots I always use filters to manage the light and create long exposure effect unless night-time photography. I metered my exposure correctly and calculate how shallow or deep the depth of field and always try to compose from different angle.
