A Pro bag for all your pro equipment

El Gran Combo-14

Concert photography it’s one of the most challenging and exciting styles of photography. Most of concert venues only give you the first two or three songs to be able to get your shots, that means you have seconds to set up your camera, your lens, dial your settings, and take the shot! Having all your gear and knowing how to use is very crucial.

In concert Photography you don’t have any second chances, you don’t have control of your subject or the lights. There are no rules you have to follow, only your creativity and your imagination. Here it’s when all your knowledge about your gear and photography comes to test.

This time I had the pleasure to shoot El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico at The Howard Theatre. I knew that shooting the best salsa orquestra in the world, I couldn’t only concentrate on the artist. As the best known salsa group I had to be able to cover the singers, the musicians, and the well known musical director Rafael Ithier.

Whenever I shoot a concert, I like to be able to interchange my lens between wide angle, mid range, and close ups. At times depending on the venue and time given I need a monopod to stabilize the image for some video. Having all the gear with me allows me to use my creative and artistic skills. I like to be able to tell a story with my images, I want people to relive the concert or to feel they were at the concert.

I have been a concert photographer for about 5 years. One of the problems I have encountered during concerts, is that sometimes I would need to carry 2 bodies with multiple lenses but space was limited.

With the Manfrotto Professional Backpack 30 I can carry all my equipment and know that it will be safe. It is a very comfortable to wear even with two Pro bodies and 3 Pro lenses. The Backpack 30 is very well built, with great features; camera protection, interchangeable dividers, external tripod connections, and much more!

I also shoot weddings, Birthday parties, cooperate events, maternity photoshoots, and about everything else. I see myself using this camera bag for a long time and I highly recommend it to those that are looking.

For those serious photographer with serious gear, understand that being able to carry their gear and protecting it, is highly important. Depending on what I’m shooting I might replace a few items from my bag to accommodate other lens or gear. I would recommend those that might be looking for a bigger camera bag with the same quality built to check out the Manfrotto Professional Backpack 50 or for a smaller design to look at the Manfrotto Professional Backpack 20. Great camera bag for the entry level photographer, enthusiast photographer, or professional.
